Please be in prayer for Bob Hammond and Mac Best as they lost their son/brother this past weekend.  

Marvin Alan Bennett, age 71 of Vienna, WV passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 9, 1955, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Charles Bennett and Shirley Hall Hammond. Marvin was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and a US Navy Veteran. He was retired from E.I. DuPont with over 31 years of service. Marvin enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and woodworking and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Dianne Viar Bennett; his father, who raised him, Robert Hammond of Vienna; two daughters, Ashley Bennett (George Markland) of Jeannette, PA and Heather Archer (Allen) of Mt. Juliet, TN; his siblings, Vernon Bennett (Lisa) of Nashville, TN, Macaria Best of Vienna and Tim Hammond of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Alexander James “AJ” Archer and Madison Archer. He will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Perry Hammond. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Troy Nesselrode officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen North Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Thursday and one hour prior to the services Friday at the funeral home.

Carol Burge was called home to be whole with Christ. Please pray for her family as they navigate this loss.

Prayers continue for Gina, she has not been able to pass her swallow test.

Back issues

Gina's bleed was deep inside her brain and extensive. They were able to set her in a chair. She was able to hold her head up by herself for awhile. Gina's right side is paralyzed. Her brother and husband have been faithfully by her side. Gina will be wearing a helmet soon and has some chest congestion making breathing difficult. She has been moved back into NCCU. Please continue to pray for Gina's recovery, her medical team, and her family.

I wanted you all to pray for my cousin Gina Meredith. She suffered a major stroke. Gina is in Morgantown. We both took GriefShare with you all just at different times. TIA from Susie Quinn.

Calling hours for Carrie Welch will be at Guerriero Funeral Home September 4, 2026 from 10:00 AM to Noon followed by a short service and burial at St. Josephs Cemetery. Guerriero Funeral Home 1550 West 19th Street Ashtabula, Ohio 44004  

Please be in prayer for the family of Carrie Welch. She went home to the Lord yesterday.
