We all know how difficult it can be when you enter a new church for the first time. Especially if you are new to a community and don’t know many people. We appreciate you and invite you to be our guest. If you are comfortable doing so, our pastor will be in the lobby after worship and would enjoy meeting you. We hope you’ll join us!
What should I expect during my first visit? FAQs
HOW DO I FIND NEW HOPE? We are on Rosemar Road, between the Vienna ball fields and the entrance to Woodland Heights. Click on Google Map for a map and directions.
WHAT TYPE OF MESSAGE SHOULD I EXPECT TO HEAR? Our desire, no matter where you might be on your spiritual journey, is to meet you where you are. The message will be an innovative, relatable, informative presentation of God’s truth based on God’s Word. Thereby, enabling you to develop and grow in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Feel free to visit our “Watch- Sunday“ page and see what a typical Sunday service is like.
WHAT VERSION OF THE BIBLE SHOULD I BRING? New Hope uses the New King James Version of the Bible. Verses are projected onto a screen at the front of the sanctuary also. You are encouraged to follow along in the version of your choice.
WHAT STYLE OF WORSHIP MUSIC SHOULD I EXPECT? Our services feature traditional worship music. Hymnals are available and the words will be displayed on screens in the front of the sanctuary. You can join in or just listen.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE? We suggest coming a few minutes early to make sure you feel comfortable getting where you are going, plus we’d love to meet you!
HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN TO BE THERE? Our worship services are typically about an hour and fifteen minutes.
WHAT DO I WEAR? There is no dress code. So, come as you are. Really, we mean it.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE TO GO? You will be met by a greeter at any entrance who will be glad to help you find your way.
IS YOUR BUILDING HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE? Yes, everything is on one level. There are no stairs or ramps needed to enter our Worship Center.
HOW DO I FIND OUT CURRENT SERVICE INFORMATION? Before you enter the sanctuary, stop by our “Connect Wall” and allow us to meet you and get any information you might need. Here you can pick up a bulletin or scan a QR code to access it in the Bible App. Inside the bulletin you will find announcements, information pertinent to today’s service, as well as other information about the church and its leaders.
WILL I BE SINGLED OUT? Absolutely not… but we would like a record of your attendance. Please fill out the “Visitor” information on the tear-away tab in the bulletin and drop it in the offering plate.
WHERE DO I TAKE MY SMALL CHILDREN DURING WORSHIP? We have a designated nursery (Seedlings) area where your children will be well-loved and kept safe by staff members and volunteers who have been thoroughly screened, back ground checked, and trained.
WHERE DO I TAKE MY CHILDREN DURING WORSHIP? Children K-5 (Sprouts) and Youth (Rooted) will begin worship in the sanctuary, seated with you. The children (Sprouts) will be dismissed to Children’s Church during worship. The youth (Rooted) will remain in the sanctuary for service.
WILL SOMEONE SHOW UP AT MY HOUSE? Not unless you would like a visit. Seriously… we promise.
